Who is this guy and what's his story?

As the old timers say...Borned n'raised up here in Texas. Graduated from East Texas State --before it became known today as Texas A&M-Commerce. BS degree in Advertising Design. (note the irony...) and a minor in Fine Art. Then away to the big city of Houston as a designer/art director in the glamorous ad business! Working in ad agencies in Houston and later in Dallas, I grabbed a whole world of experience in not only design and art direction but also in image production, print production, and even video production.

Finally had enough of big city living and migrated to Tyler, Texas–in peaceful East Texas. Here I started to shoot photography commercially to use in my design and advertising work. Everything from 4x5 to Kodachrome to finally fully digital image making. I had been altering, creating and retouching images in Photoshop long before I bought my first digital SLR. "Thinking digitally" became second nature and working in a smaller market showed the value of "building" a digital image to overcome the lack of juicy budgets. Next came a full transition into digital  video production--shooting and editing for corporate video and TV ads. Finally I spent way too many hours learning to build web sites, design email marketing, design social media ads and navigate the whole digital delivery system. 

Currently I live in the one-red light city of Corrigan, Texas. I have narrowed my work to corporate photo work, occasional video work, and a couple of carefully chosen design clients. I've entered the stock image market and this year have acquired a photo drone to offer drone photos and video footage to my commercial and corporate customers. Thanks to the wacky World Wide Web, my work is routinely delivered online--mostly from this website. Sure beats driving around in big city traffic where the journey began.
